Dr. Oskar Sandberg
Dr. Oskar Sandberg was awarded his PhD degree at Abo Akademi University, Finland, a part of the Finnish Doctoral National Graduate School of Nano Science. During his PhD, he was studying charge transport and recombination in organic solar cells, under the supervision of Professor Ronald Osterbacka. After obtaining his PhD degree, Oskar joined the Sêr SAM group at Swansea University as a post-doctoral researcher in the summer of 2018. His current research focuses on device physics of next-generation electronics, with emphasis on electro-optical device simulations of organic
solar cells and photodetectors. Among other things, these include using drift-diffusion simulations to understand the underlying physical processes within these devices; and developing new steady state and transient electrical techniques for the characterization of related device and material properties. In his free time, he likes to watch movies and read books.
