Mrs. Klaudia Rejnhard

Klaudia joined Sêr SAM in October 2018 as a postgraduate researcher, examining Advanced Functional Coatings for Integrative Semiconductor Materials and Devices. This research project, working in collaboration with materials and equipment suppliers within the semiconductor industry, investigates the use of a new thin film deposition technology known as Molecular Vapour Deposition (MVD). This new deposition method is utilised to create ancillary materials, alongside potentially creating semiconductor devices.

The project involves the development of the MVD deposition process together with; chemical, optical and structural analysis of the resultant materials, merging together multi-scientific disciplines, including Chemistry, Physics and Optoelectronics. Prior to joining the team at Swansea University, Klaudia spent over a decade working as an analytical chemist within the pharmaceutical & environmental sectors. Employed at companies both in the UK and Poland, Klaudia built up an extensive background in analytical instrumentation, method development & chemical analysis, specialising in the use of; GC-MS (Gas Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry), LC-MS (Liquid Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry), GC-ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma – Mass Spectrometry) and LC-QQQ/QTOF Mass Spectrometry (Triple Quad).

Academically, Klaudia completed her master’s degree in chemistry in 2007 at the WrocÅ‚aw University of Technology, Poland, specialising in Chemical Surfactants and Dispersal Systems. Recreationally, Klaudia has a passion for the outdoors, enjoys walking and exercising and likes spending time with animals.
